Marc, I would like to know if you have written a book on ground hunting with more detail. Also, how do you set tree stands according to the weather?

I’m currently writing a book, but I’m a year behind. Hopefully it will be done and to the publisher next year. I’ve written several articles regarding ground hunting for Deer and Deer hunting, NAW, Bowhunter and several more. I’ll post when the next article comes out!

Weather studies are done in the summer for the bucks I track. After locating their hideouts in inclement weather, I’ll hunt accordingly. Windy days, thermals, driving rain and fronts are all monitored. Generally speaking, really windy days, the deer will head to the lower elevations. Middle of the day, thermals will drive them to higher places. Heavy rain, they’ll tuck under downed trees. This is the kind of info I use when deciding where to hunt on a particular day.
